Unbrick Your Linksys Router

If you try to upgrade your linksys router's firmware and it fails you may have a brick (sometimes called a paper weight). This is simply a slang meaning that your router (or wireless access point) is no longer functional / working for anything useful. This is common if you try to upgrade your firmware or try to re-flash it with a different firmware like DD-WRT (http://www.dd-wrt.com)

Be sure to try any recover using official linksys firmware even if that is not your ultimate goal. Often you have to use official firmware when recovering from a "Bricked" state.
