Robocopy, Windows Vista and Junction Points

Last Updated: 9/4/10

Remember that on newer operating systems like Windows Vista and Windows 7, there are junction points that exist for backwards compatibility. Here are some samples:

- c:\documents and settings
- c:\users\username\application data

To allow robocopy to copy these folders and volumes be sure to use the XJ flag to exclude junction points. Otherwise you will copy some files twice!
