If you open Word 2000 and find mail merge missing from the "Tools" toolbar, don't worry this is common. This normally occurs when you have Word 2000 from Microsoft Works and you have made changes to Microsoft Works, either installing or uninstalling. To fix this problem just open Microsoft Word 2000. Go to Tools > Customize. Then click on the Command tab and in the left frame scroll down to "All Commands". Then in the right frame scroll down to "MailMergeHelper". Then drag "MailMergeHelper onto one of the main toolbars. Then close the customize windows and click on the new button you made. This should bring up mail merge just like it used to come up.
